It is definitely a place that digital nomads will appreciate due to the ample space with plenty of tables to work from. Something I found really special was the artistic packaging of their coffee beans stemming from a partnership with local illustrators, who give every package an original, creative look.

From their menu I chose a flat white made with beans from Los Pinos in Nicaragua, a farm located at an altitude of — m with a high ecological consciousness. The coffee was packed with flavours of hazelnut and nougat and worked well with the milk. The packaging for this one was just beautifully done, a drawing emphasizing the connection between picking coffee and drinking it. It has been hiding in the plain center for 18 months now and its discovery is an adventure on its own.

Only few places give me goosebumps when I enter, but Super Tramp was definitely one of them. While sipping on a cappuccino, I listened to Replica by the XX and thought for a moment that this is what heaven on earth must look like!

Plus, the cappuccino with espresso from El Paraiso, Colombia, roasted by the Hungarian favourite Casino Mocca, convinced with delicious black tea, orange blossom and caramel notes. EMA has been around since and is located a 10 minute walk from the central train station. The coffee shop has a cosmopolitan vibe to it without being pretentious. The modern interior and communal setup with a long table in the middle of the room are definitely state of the art!

To keep things interesting, almost every month a different guest roaster brings a fresh smell of ground coffee to the espresso bar. Drinking Czech coffee and reviewing as many specialty coffee shops as humanly possible was well worth the time.

Prague is one of the best cities in Europe for specialty coffee. And what a great city to enjoy a flat white, cortado or V60, sitting in a cozy eclectic cafe or converted warehouse while surrounded by historic beauty.

In Prague since , this hole in the wall cafe serves the best flat white in the old town and espresso based coffees. Chatty baristas work with a vintage look machine and serve their smooth flat white or perfect cortado in beautiful handmade porcelain cups from Denmark.

You can sit on one of the stools by the window or stand outside on the cobblestone street. You can enjoy a small pastry with your coffee or some fair trade chocolate. If you prefer somewhere bigger with a bustling atmosphere, EMA Espresso Bar has plenty of seating inside, upstairs and outside. This cafe attracts local professional workers, expats and tourists. The coffee beans change regularly and you can have the coffee brewed all kinds of ways. EMA is also a great cafe for hot chocolate or freshly squeezed lemonade on warmer days.

Hidden away in a difficult to find courtyard, Super Tramp is a very hipster cafe with specialty coffee in a cosy space. This was my local when I was staying in an Airbnb around the corner.
