What happens if i kill astrid

He also happens to be a member of the Dark Brotherhood. As such, if you told the guard he committed a crime, he will get his revenge by killing Loreius and his wife. The way to get the armor and keep him alive involves a high pickpocketing skill level. You can only disenchant basic magical stuff. Cicero is one of the best companions you can get in Skyrim for a plethora of reasons.

Cicero is found lying on the ground injured. It should be noted that if Cicero is spared in this quest he will become an available follower for the Dragonborn. If you drop the statue before Vittoria is on the balcony, it will alert the guards, and you will have to kill her using your weapons, which will gain you a bounty. If the Dragonborn chose to spare his life, Cicero is found upon exiting the Dawnstar Sanctuary after the quest where he becomes a possible follower.

If he is spared, he becomes essential again, making him unable to be killed. Cicero will disappear after Destroy the Dark Brotherhood! It is impossible to get Shadowmere or Cicero after that. If you kill Astrid, you get a quest that involves destroying the rest of the Dark Brotherhood. Once you kill Astrid you get a quest that says to talk to guard, which leads you to the questline to wipe out the rest of the brotherhood. If you choose to kill her, you get one more mission.

If you join you get a whole questline of varied quests. I'm a good guy too, but I didn't want to miss all that. Almost all the items unique to the faction can be looted off the dark brotherhood members once you've killed them. I never considered that as a potential option. Then again, I didn't pursue anything that would have gotten me in touch with the Brotherhood as a good character either.

Well if you have already made the choice to kill the orphanage matron in cold blood for Aventis Aretino, then I would question your adherance to the whole good guy track already. The Brotherhood missions are interesting, but definitely not moral. This is true, I'll admit to the hypocrisy on my part, so really either way you go about it requires some leap of logic regardless.

The Mother Grelod is awful certainly, but by no means someone who should be murdered in cold blood at least by the mindset of a some sort of self professed good guy it's not like she's eating the orphans or anything.

Though by that point in the story my character could be defined as much more morally grey than I had started out, so I suppose it turned out alright for me. To be fair though almost all Skyrim characters have some logically inconsistency in justifying their existence.

It's more about what sits right with you than anything else lol. If I can get all the good loot by destroying them I'll probably just do that. Killing him does not constitute a crime. There are three people held in the shack screen above : Fultheim the Fearless, Alea Quintus and Vasha. Joining Dark Brotherhood will give you the chance to enjoy the best storyline in Skyrim. The short answer: No. Return to the Dawnstar Sanctuary and speak to Nazir about the gold, and he will ask how much money you received.

You can choose to lie to him, but you keep the entire reward regardless of the option you choose. The guards in each game are one entity. In skyrim, they are controlled not by the governments but chickens. You are now able to set the captives free and instructed to inform a guard of Astrid's death.

You can literally walk up to any guard and tell them of Astrid's death. Solitude may be the best destination to quick-travel to though, seeing as it is nearest the shack. Either way you will still be able to get into the sanctuary and claim the Stone of Barenziah, the Word of Power Marked for Death , and a few skill books.
