Why do people think skrillex is dubstep

He just uses the songs in his head. I don't think a lot of people can do that. Ever heard of From First To Last? Prolly not Sonny Moore was the lead singer of that, he isn't talentless And he didnt just come outta nowhere either. He does have real talent, and I challenge you to go make an original song on ableton live yourself I'm sorry we disagree.

I like Skrillex. I think what he does requires talent. I know I couldn't do it and I've been making music for most of my life.

So yep. Just another anonymous here, sry to disappoint you. As far as pressing buttons goes, that's not all that Skrillex does. He compose the songs just as much as he produce them and surely you don't think pressing buttons is always a lack of talent.

Think of a piano for instance, it's just a buch of buttons. Or playing the drums, you're just hitting a bunch of objects, no talent involved there. I feel that you're probably unfamiliar with the definition of talent. And to answer the topic question, some of Skrillex's songs are electro-dubstep and some are electro-house. The definition is in the drum beat and tempo.

Also, he didn't come out of nowhere. He got big from singing in From First to Last, and was big enough from that to tour on the Warped Tour as Sonny when he left that band. He might not have gone by "Skrillex" but he's been a part of music for a while. Regardless of whether you like him or not, the music he makes is definitely dubstep. It doesn't matter how he makes it or how he performs live. No it's not. Look up the definitions and prime constituents of dubstep. Skrillex misses most of that.

Most of his music is dirty house and filthy electro. Just because YOU have heard it called dubstep, doesn't mean it's right. Recent Topics. I guess you just have to have the ear for music that skrillex produces. I feel that Skrillex isn't a Dubstep artist, but leaning towards Electronica with agressive Techno influences. He also has a lot of random voices And please don't call Skrillex "The father of Dubstep", and I'm sure Skrillex is a great person as humans go, but he's no Dubstep artist. People hate him because he's popular, as long as there's a mass that loves him there will be a mass that hates him.

Also some people believe he didn't deserve his fame. I on the other hand, hate his music. I don't know since when does a bunch of violent sounds put together with the same formula over and over again count as music, but it obviously became the norm nowadays.

And if you really need good violent music take something like this:. Even though I usually like the more subtle kinds of dubstep, there are a few Skrillex songs I can remember listening to and really enjoying. People probably hate him just because dubstep is usually an infamous genre of music, and they assume that they should send all their flame toward his way, since he's the one who pretty much started it off this big.
