How much motel cost
Our host Declan was welcoming and informative from the start. If you are looking for a luxury stay in Franchshoek we would highly recommend this hotel!
What a fantastic find! A gorgeous hotel in beautiful grounds. Room was fantastic - open fire and very luxurious bathroom. Staff were excellent - highly attentive and helpful. Food at the two restaurants on site was absolutely outstanding - be sure to book! This hotel by aesthetics alone is amazing, but the experience is what sells.
From the moment you walk through the door the goal is to make you feel at home. Moses guided us on a tour of the hotel and we fell in love. The Residence have thought about everything before you arrive. The multiple lounge rooms give a space to retreat from your room.
The koi fish are beautif The koi fish are beautiful and give ambience while you are dining. There are multiple complimentary drink stations throughout the hotel and a "cake of the day" for your sweet tooth. The spa services and Thuli and Queen were amazing. The room itself was great! Had a jacuzzi, walk in closet, beautiful balcony with a view of the pool and garden, and a surround sound music system with peaceful music playing. But I will never forget when I asked for late checkout flight departed at pm and they said "no problem, just stay in your room until you are ready to leave.
With the most breathtaking views, crashing waves, beautifully decorated rooms, unparalleled service, attention to detail and delicious food, this is without doubt one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Says it all Every single employee bent over backwards to make our stay the most enjoyable it could be.
The staff were all amazing. The only negative is the way the rooms are set up. They are very tiny and you have to be careful getting They are very tiny and you have to be careful getting on and off the bed without falling off platforms. It reminded us a lot like south beach hotels in Miami. We highly recommend. Highly Recomended. Staff was brilliant and always helpful. Hotel is is in very nice condition.
Lovely suites except no doors on some batrooms?? Breakfast is best in South Africa. Highly recommended resort! The staff and guide service was excellent with uber personalized service from the moment you arrived until you checkout. The the hotel is located right in front of a waterhole so you get a daily dose of views of animals! Really amazing! The rooms are very well designed, spacious and cozy! Last but not the least, the daily drives are the bes Last but not the least, the daily drives are the best part and our guide special shout out to Kevin made our 1st game drive experience amazing!
From the moment of arrival, you are aware that this is a very special place. Above all, the management and staff. They go beyond any level of service we have experienced in any 5star hotel in the world. Charming, thoughtful and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. The position, high above Camps Bay, provides breath taking views, as well as quiet seclusion.
The rooms The rooms are spacious and beautifully fitted out in every way. The best beds you will ever sleep on. Immaculate Mercedes fleet to ferry you wherever you want to go at very reasonable cost. Only minor niggle is no coffee making facilities in some rooms. Seems an oversight? When we return to Cape Town next year, this will be our first port of call. Thanks to everyone at The Atlantic View for a memorable stay with you.
David and Wendy. We booked the trip as the last leg of our own honeymoon in South Africa and fair to say, we were absolutely blown away by Pondoro.
The property is beautiful and since they have a small number of lodges, they create a highly personalized experience. The staff, service, and overall hospitality is truly world class and the best my wife and I have ever experienced and we The staff, service, and overall hospitality is truly world class and the best my wife and I have ever experienced and we've traveled all over the world!
We saw the big 5 comfortably on a 3 day trip 2 We stayed in the Water Suite and it's a stunning piece of property overlooking the reserve. We saw Giraffes, Hippos, Bush bucks, from our bed! Amazing dinner experiences 4 Owners greet you and spend time with you on a daily basis! Probably the loveliest guest house we stayed at during our visit to South Africa. Peter and Bradley were amazing hosts and went out of their way to be helpful and ensure we enjoyed our short visit. Wish we could have stayed longer, we didn't want to leave, it was so peaceful and the garden and pool were fantastic.
Peter suggested a lovely winery for dinner which we Peter suggested a lovely winery for dinner which we thoroughly enjoyed. Many thanks guys we would love to return.
Amazing experience, beautiful estate, great spa, awesome dinner at Qunu Restaurant and best of all the rooms are just spectacular. This hotels goes to great lengths to focus on detail to ensure that each guest experience is on comfort and luxury.
Service very friendly and professional making this the best hotel in Johannesburg and one of the best in South Africa. We lo We loved it and will be back. I cant fault my time here at this hotel. As with most Hiltons the service was great and promt. Very clean and modern hotel in a convenient location. It has large gym too and well equiped. Hertz is in the basement car park. Very convenient considering Cabs in South Africa are expensive and hard to find. Durban has many more cabs that Joburg, but could still do with more and I recommend booking cars in advance of planned stays.
This hotel is walkable to beach and near bye Shops, banks and markets. Really enjoyed my stay here and can recommened. Sun City is unique. A curious mix of Butlin's and Las Vegas. It works though, and can be whatever you want it to be: golf holiday, relaxing by the pool, adventure and of course one of Africa's finest game reserves is next door.
It also offers fine dining alongside a plethora of fast food outlets in the main centre , but you have to track it down. South Africa is stil South Africa is still learning customer service in the hospitality sector. Standards vary but Sun City is one of the best.
To me it felt that the resort though, after a Rand million revamp, is still unclear what its target market is. It is a great family destination, it is a relaxing pool holiday, it is a mass market slot machine and gambling destination the main Casino feels more end of the pier seaside amusements in Blackpool than Monte Carlo and of course it is a gateway to the Pilanesberg game reserve, where you will easily see elephant, rhino, hippo, lion.
The resort attracts a mix of people from all backgrounds and it feels safe, which is a huge bonus for a South African destination. At the Cascades hotel, breakfast was good, but the management need to work out a way to avoid the queues. And, while this certainly does not affect me, for Islamic visitors and there were quite a few , the hotel might like to ensure the bacon and sausages can not contaminate the other very good English breakfast choices.
When putting scrambled egg or tomato onto the plate, it was impossible to stop the serving spoon touching the bacon. In fairness you can 'feel' the similarities but Sun City is a lot cheaper.
Atlantis attracts wealthy holidaymakers from around the world, who expect the best. But of course there's no casino. And for me, the weather in Dubai is too hot for most of the year. South Africa really does have it beaten. Why more people from around the world fail to see the benefits o.
Undiscovered gem well located in CapeTown. Spotlessly clean. The single room units are quite commodious and the two room luxury suites are huge. When I mentioned our front-facing room with a great view of Table Mountain was noisy from stree When I mentioned our front-facing room with a great view of Table Mountain was noisy from street traffic, staff offered to move us to the back, quieter side.
Gold star for accommodating staff. Shuttle service reliable and on time. Steak restaurant inside the building is OK for meat lovers but many other choices within a short walk.
A definite recommendation if you want extended stay accommodations in Cape Town. Since no concierge per se, best for independent travelers. This is a beautiful oasis and very elegant hotel to come to especially after a long flight.
The rooms is large and well decorated and comfortable. The dining facilities and the menu offered is very good. Finally the location is excellent with Table mountain as a backdrop and the harbour shopping offering a quick taste of South African experience.
Magnificent views, beautifully furnished rooms with lovely bathroom. Bathroom includes large jacuzzi bath. For a five star establishment I did not like not being allowed to leave the hotel before my room and minibar was checked, even though a credit card authorisation was taken on check in. But I guess this is South Africa! The accommodation was first class, spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff friendly and helpful.
The game drivers friendly and informative. Everything is very well organised. Because the lodge is in an open space all sorts of animals can wander through, therefore, in the evening when it is dark, you must be escorted to and from your lodge. The food was exce The food was excellent. You are given a choice of menu in the afternoon before the game drive and your meal is ready on your return. When you return from the game drive, hot flannels and a drink await you. My only small comment is everything is very formal in the dining area.
During our stay there were lots of couples and all the tables were set up to accommodate each couple. Everybody spoke in hushed tones. I felt very uncomfortable with the silence. At other safari lodges, smaller tables are available but there are also larger tables so that you can chat to people befriended on your game drive.
It's more social and less formal. Find Hotels in South Africa vacation rentals and hotels available now. Fast facts about South Africa. Eastern Cape hotels Mpumalanga hotels Limpopo hotels.

For example, if you rent an apartment, you typically pay for utilities, cable and internet on top of monthly rent. You might have to pay for parking as well. While water is usually included, electricity and gas generally aren't.
Factor in other amenities such as a gym, pool or included breakfasts found at some hotels. The costs paid toward these might be eliminated from your budget if the hotel offers them. You will also have cleaning and a level of security included in a hotel rate versus an apartment, where you have to pay for service. Gas, car maintenance, bridge tolls and parking are expensive in major cities.
The word motel combines the words motor and hotel. Read more: 11 U. In addition to lodging, a hotel offers a number of other services and amenities to its guests. You may also benefit from a restaurant, swimming pool, fitness center and spa.
Another difference is property size. A hotel is usually a large, enclosed building with hundreds of rooms across multiple floors, while a motel has one or two floors with outdoor room entrances. Both styles of accommodations are widely available in the United States and Canada , and they can also be found when you travel to other countries around the world.
In this new world of post-COVID travel , hotels are also more likely to have the means to thoroughly clean and sanitize rooms and common areas. No matter where you choose to stay, call ahead of booking to ask about their current cleanliness practices. There are a number of situations where it makes more sense to select a motel instead of a hotel, such as:.
Although motels are cheaper than hotels, you may want to spend the extra money and stay at a hotel in certain situations. Read more: How to book a hotel with a flexible cancellation policy. It mostly depends on location and demand. Hotel costs vary widely and are based on factors such as brand name, amenities, location and demand.
Of course, you can expect to pay more if you stay at the Ritz-Carlton than the Holiday Inn, or in downtown LA versus rural Pennsylvania. Find out the best time to book a hotel according to data and trends. Inns are small properties with a limited inventory of rooms, and they are typically found in rural locations and sometimes within communities.
They are often privately or family-owned and operated. You can expect much fewer amenities at an inn than a hotel. There will likely be toiletries and a coffee maker in the room, possibly WiFi, and a basic daily breakfast offered in a common area. Compared to a motel and hotel, inns are often decorated by the owners and have a more homey feel than brand-name chains.
